ERIC CLAPTON

1964 yılında, The Yardbirds adlı blues-rock grubunda çalmaya başladı, fakat 1965'in Mart ayında bu grubun pop müziğe kaydığını düşünerek gruptan ayrıldı.

Grupla çıkardığı Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs albümündeki Layla, en çok bilinen şarkılarından oldu.

Scarborough Fair

scarborough fair .mp3 -

EmDEm

Are you going to Scarborough Fair

GEmGAEm

Parsley sage rosemary and thyme

GD
Remember me to one who lives there

EmDEm

She once was a true love of mine

EmDEm

Tell her to make me a cambric shirt

GEmGAEm

Parsley sage rosemary and thyme

GD
Without any seam or fine needle work

EmDEm
And then she'll be a true love of mine

EmDEm

Will you reap it with sickle of leather

GEmGAEm

Parsley sage rosemary and thyme

GD
And tie it all up with a peacock's feather

EmDEm
Or never be a true love of mine

EmDEm

Will you find me an acre of land

GEmGAEm

Parsley sage rosemary and thyme

GD
Between the sea foam and the sea sand

EmDEm
Or never be a true love of mine

EmDEm

will you plough it with a lamb's horn

GEmGAEm

Parsley sage rosemary and thyme

GD
And sow it all over with one peppercorn

EmDEm
Or never be a true love of mine

EmDEm

Tell her to wash it in yonder dry well

GEmGAEm

Parsley sage rosemary and thyme

GD
Where water ne'er sprung, nor drop of rain fell

EmDEm
And then she'll be a true love of mine

EmDEm

Tell her to dry it on yonder thorn

GEmGAEm

Parsley sage rosemary and thyme

GD
Which never bore blossom since Adam was born

EmDEm
And then she'll be a true love of mine

EmDEm

When you've done and finished your work

GEmGAEm

Parsley sage rosemary and thyme

GD
Then come to me for your cambric shirt

EmDEm
And you shall be a true love of mine
